IIT-Mandi Launches MBA in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence; check details
The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi has launched an MBA program in data science and artificial intelligence. The full-time, two-year master’s program begins in the fall semester of 2022, the institute announced. It will integrate contemporary management concepts, soft skills for the development of individuals and a wide range of data science tools.
This program differs from other technology-focused programs (like BTech, MTech/MS) by focusing on integrating data science and artificial intelligence into various business and management fields, as well as placing a strong emphasis emphasis on managerial decision-making, says IIT-Mandi.
“This MBA program will empower students to transform data into better business decisions and help them identify business areas where data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning can add value and deliver insights. algorithm developers and data analysts,” said Professor Laxmidhar Behera, Director. , IIT Mandi, said.

In developing the program, experts from diverse backgrounds and experiences were consulted, including representatives from academic institutions such as Indian Institutes of Management and IITs. The School of Management has a wide range of experts from academia and industry serving on its advisory boards. The courses would be given by internal and external experts. The School of Management actively seeks collaboration with other management institutes inside and outside India for its academic and research programs.
Data science will be the backbone of industry competitive advantage in the future. Competitive advantage will be achieved by leveraging data-driven decision making. The industry is already moving in this direction. It will need a large workforce skilled in data science and knowledgeable about its application in business and strategic issues relevant to business organizations.
